Today’s guest is Brandon Johnson. Brandon is a Wichita native born and raised and is the District 1 council member on the Wichita city council and he is the sole African American on this council. I really wanted to talk to Brandon about his perspective about the protests, rallies, and black injustice following the tragic death of George Floyd. This was a really good conversation that opened my eyes to what is going on in our city. Please feel free to reach out to Brandon for any further questions. Enjoy my conversation with Brandon Johnson.

Welcome to another episode of the Wichita Life podcast. My name is Landon.  We have a couple sponsors of today’s show. Our first sponsor is Meddy’s Mediterrean grill. Meddy’s is a fast casual mediterrean restaurant with the best hummus in Wichita. If you don’t believe me, go check it out. Meddy’s is located at rock and harry, Washington and douglas, or on Greenwich and 21st.

Our next sponsor is Il Primo Espresso Cafe. Il Primo is the oldest coffee shop in Wichita and one of my favorites. They have a wide array of drink options, so you can try something new each time you go, or stick with your favorite! Check out their locations on the main floor of the Epic Center or at Central and Woodlawn today!
