Wichita Schools Extend Thanksgiving Break
USD259 School board has voted unanimously to extend Thanksgiving break for the full week next week because of the rising COVID numbers.

Wichita School District Update
The School district is also asking elementary families to have a plan in case they have to go remote. Elementary schools have been the only public schools in Wichita going in person.
Sedgwick County Commission
Sarah Lopez has defeated Michael O’Donnell in the Sedgwick County Commission seat election.

Wichita Loses 2021 NCAA Host Opportunity
Due to COVID-19, Wichita (among 12 others) has lost the 2021 NCAA tournament host as they relocate. We will host the first two rounds again in 2021.
Wichita Company Nitride Solutions speeds up the UV Want to fight COVID-19
This wand uses UV light which has shown to neutralize more than 99.9% of COVID-19. Their goal was to fight COVID without chemicals.

WSU Tech Launches new training tools
WSU Tech is partnering with airbus to create training tools to simulate a real aircraft in virtual reality.
