A doctor’s appointment, necessary prescription or dental check-up should be within reach for every Kansan, but according to America’s Health Rankings, more than one in 10 Kansans have postponed healthcare in the past year due to cost.
That’s why the next major health challenge that the Kansas Health Foundation is focused on is Cost of Care. They’re gathering ideas from Kansans just like you to help shape the blueprint that will inform how we fund, coordinate and develop policy to reduce cost barriers for every Kansan.

Last year, I finally found out by trying their Check Your Health lab testing .
I learned my Vitamin D was low, my lutein was low (I'd never even heard of it), and yes, I needed more veggies.
But what's more important than getting tested once? Getting tested twice.
I went back this year, and my results gave me a new set of things to work on:
☀️ Vitamin D: Work on getting my levels up with a supplement.
🥦 Nutrition: Eat five servings of vegetables a day and more selenium-rich foods.
❤️ Cholesterol: Cut back on red meat (we’ll see about that) and eat more fish.
