Grandma Thuy’s – Wichita, Kansas

I’ve been meaning to get over to Grandma Thuy’s since they reopened to try their new enhanced wings. I thought they were good before, but I guess they came up with a way to keep them super crispy even after sitting in sauce. I got a dozen split between their mild sauce and their spicy sauce. It’s true, they did stay very crispy even after being covered in sauce, and they were all large and meaty. The spicy sauce wasn’t all that spicy, but it tasted great.
I also had to get some egg rolls and crab rangoon just because.
An item I hadn’t tried before from them was their fried rice. I got an order with the combo meat, and the owner said she would make it the way she likes it with extra garlic and a couple over easy eggs on top. After adding some soy sauce, it was excellent. If you are on the west side, make sure to swing by Grandma Thuy’s.
