COVID-19
Hospital Guidelines
Most state and local mandates around social gathering limits and masks have lightened up lately, but hospitals (like Ascension Via Christi) will keep its limitations for the time being.
They did ease the visitor limitations in March, but they will stay at two adult visitors in the facility at a time (except for patients under contact precautions).

American Idol
Arthur Gunn (2020 American Idol Runner-Up) made his way back into the top 7. This is where his American Idol Journey has ended. He sang a rendition of a Coldplay song followed by Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd. He did not get voted into the top 5, but he’s still #1 in our hearts. Who would go watch him at one of the venues in town?

First Pitch
Tuesday night is finally opening night for the Wind Surge.
Former Mayor Jeff Longwell will be throwing the opening pitch. Current Mayor Brandon Whipple will be providing opening and welcome remarks via video.
CRIME
“Alarming Trend”
The WPD has seen at least 9 homicides since 2018 all linked to drug deals that were arranged via social media.
WPD Begins Spring Training
Over 700 officers will be going over new techniques and reviewing old ones about de-escalating situations over the next few weeks.
WICHITA STATE
New President
Wichita State has named Rick Muma as the new President of the University. He is the 15th president.
