Wichita’s Favorite Coffee Shops
A while back, we made a list of some of the best coffee shops in Wichita.
We wanted to figure out who Wichita values as their “Favorite” coffee shop. We turned to our audience on Instagram and Twitter. The ultimate champ stayed the same, but each bracket did play out a little differently.
The overall champ was Il Primo Espresso Caffe, Wichita’s oldest coffee shop.
First off, we will look at Instagram. We used the Instagram Story Poll feature to do the voting. Each of these match ups received 500-600+ votes.
The Final 4 came down to Fairmount vs Il Primo and Milkfloat vs Reverie. These are some heavy hitters and it was a tough draw for Leslie’s to come up against the eventual champ (this was chosen completely randomly).
The championship between Wichita coffee titans was one for the ages. If you were to ask many people who their favorite coffee shop was, Reverie and Il Primo would come up more often than not.
At the same time, over a few week period we asked our Twitter audience. Our Twitter audience wasn’t quite as involved as Instagram (c’mon people..), but still received dozens of votes.
This bracket was quite a bit different. There were some unexpected upsets like an early, first-round upset of Espresso to Go Go over Instagram Final Four Contestant Fairmount. There was also an upset with Want Bierock Co over Reverie in the Elite 8 followed up Milkfloat making a run for the championship before ultimately falling to Il Primo.
All in all, we love ALL of the coffee shops in town, but it’s fun to do a bracket challenge every now and then.
