Breast cancer is still one of the leading causes of cancer-related death in U.S. women, second only to lung cancer. This disease doesn’t affect only women. U.S. men make up 1 of every 100 breast cancer diagnoses. This panel discussion will feature experts and survivors who will share information on breast health, the latest practices for detecting and preventing breast cancer, treatment options, reconstruction, and other important considerations that are often overlooked.

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, at the Badass Women of Wichita “Taking Care of the Girls”  event, a panel of experts and survivors will discuss breast cancer awareness, prevention, and treatment of the disease that affects 2.3 million women worldwide, including reconstruction options that are often overlooked.
Attending is Actress Renee Ridgeley, the voice of Wendy Sage, the groundbreaking “uniboob” character on The Simpsons, next appearing in the November 9th episode. Founder of Stand Tall AFC, she is in Wichita to bring awareness of the Aesthetic Flat Closure (AFC) option.
