The Singing Quaker Alumni Choir from Friends University in Wichita, KS will present “Hymns, Psalms and Spiritual Songs” a fall concert, Saturday November 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, located at 1958 N. Webb Rd in Wichita, KS.
Founded in 1994 by Dr. Cecil J. Riney, the choir is comprised of more than 60 voices and represents six decades of former Singing Quakers.
Joseph Martin is the Guest Conductor and Clinician. He is on the staff of Hal Leonard Corporation and Shawnee Press, Inc. as Director of Sacred Publications. He has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance. He has more than two thousand compositions in print as well as sixty choral cantatas. Martin is Artist in Residence at Concordia University in Austin Texas where he lives with his wife Sue.
