Senior Wednesday: Wichita from the Air – The Aerial Photography of Edgar B. Smith

More than a century ago Edgar B. Smith’s inventiveness and daring provided us with the first aerial views of  Wichita taken from an airplane. To this day the images of an unfolding city he captured form a fascinating aerial checkerboard of then and now. This program celebrates the Library’s digitization of over 1,400 EBS photographs, now freely available online.
