Arthur Gunn Returns
In case you were too busy watching Queens Gambit or Cobra Kai last year during the lockdown and don’t know who Arthur Gunn is, let me catch you up.
Arthur was the runner-up on on American Idol Season 18 last year during the pandemic. I also had the opportunity to interview him mid-Idol and also a couple months back here in Wichita.
With a crazy turn of events, Arthur is set to return to American Idol TONIGHT. Make sure you vote for him to continue on. Let’s help Wichita win!
TO VOTE: tune in tonight to get Arthur’s contestant number, text that number to 21523 up to 10 times. There will also be a couple other ways you can vote.

Wind Surge
One of the few low spots of the opening game at Riverfront Stadium was the long lines to actually get into the stadium.
Prior to the first game on May 11 (which tickets go on sale April 24th!), there will be a new 500 spot parking lot added just west of the stadium.
League 42
Growing up I loved playing baseball. League 42 is a non-profit that helps make the dream of playing ball a reality for many kids.
The ’42’ comes from the legend Jackie Robinson.
Last week at McAdams Park, League 42 put up a sculpture by John Parsons to honor Jackie Robinson.
BUSINESS
Cargill
Wichita is the headquarters of the North America protein business for Cargill. They now have a new a new group leader and president, Hans Kabat. He is set to take over on May 1.
NXTUS Launches competition
Right here in the Silicon Prairie, we have some awesome start up companies. From Quicc and Lawn Buddy to 2uAuto and Buddy Brands (among many, many others), Wichita is a hot bed for startups moving forward.
NXTUS, an entrepreneurial organization here in town, launched a competition on Thursday. They will be taking appilcations for the next month as part of the 2021 NXSTAGE Community Health and Vibrancy competition.
