Good morning Wichita! So we’re a little over a week into the new year. And we value your feedback and our relationships with you the readers. So who is still going strong on their New Years Resolutions? Let us know what that resolution is and we will help keep you accountable!

Who’s at fault?
Earthquake updates may just become a permanent section in the Weekly Update. We mentioned last week that Dr. Mazzullo, a retired WSU geology professor, believes there may be some previously unrecognized faults in the area. Here is the location of those potential faults in east Wichita:
Shiny, New Downtown Offices
If you’re wondering what ever happened to the “corner” at Mead’s Corner, we have your answer. IMA Financial relocated their main office to this new high-profile $21 million dollar office.
Fire Downtown
On Wednesday, January 6, there was a fire around 6:30AM.The building was empty, but it is right across the street from the new Riverfront Stadium.
National Human Trafficking Awareness Month
January has been the National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month since 2010. This isn’t something most people think about, but I remember hearing a statistic years ago that Wichita was in the top 5 or top 10 worst cities for human trafficking. I couldn’t believe it, but I looked it up and it was true. Here are some details:
- Wichita sits at the crossroads of the nation’s sex-trafficking highway – I-35 and I-70
- Typically children between the ages of 11-13 are trafficked
Resources:
ICTSOS is an organization with the goal of ending human trafficking. Another is the WSU Center for Combating Human Trafficking. They help raise awareness and offer training or education to help avoid these tragic events.

Chandali Gullick (who has a youtube channel with 117,000) is competing on Worst Cooks in America to try to win $25000.
